(Bobbi)

Bobbi has been a student of YOGA since 1965 and has taught 1000's of students over the years.  She has appeared on local radio and television shows, such as, The American Health Network in 1999 and The Naomi Judd Show and has shared the benefits of YOGA with many organizations.  Ms. Holliday was heard on WERE Cleveland on the Mary Rose Oakar Show and The Senior Forum with Joe Pohl (May, 2002). Recently, June of 2004, Bobbi and her daughter, Leslie Thompson, appeared on Dr. Randy's Running Show on Amherst cable. 

She presented YOGA annually from 1985 - 2001 at the International Platform Association in Washington , DC. and she served on the Board of Governors of this organization.  On August 14, 2004, she brought "The Chakras and the Propensities of the Human Mind' as a workshop at the Lily Dale Assembly in New Yorks State.

Bobbi taught YOGA in Salzburg, Austria in the summers of 1982, 1983, 2001, 2002 and returned to Salzburg July 2004, with her daughter, Leslie Thompson, offering a Yoga Spa Workshop for 21 days plus an AGING SUCCESSFULLY Program for 7 Days with CEUs for Health Professionals.

She is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College with advanced studies in Music at Case Western University.  She is currently on the faculty of Lorain County Community College, where she instructs Yoga and Flute as credit and non-credit courses.  These courses are filled every semester by students eager to experience Yoga in a safe and loving environment.  Other classes taught by Ms. Holliday were for the Moen Corporation in North Olmsted, Ohio, and at St. Andrews Church in Elyria, Ohio, Five Seasons in Westlake, the Visiting Nurse Association in Cleveland, and at her own Ganesha Studio 1540 Lowell St. in Elyria, Ohio.

She has written A "COURSE IN YOGA AND METAPHYSICS" and a Yoga book for children called "THE GRANDMOTHER WHO STOOD ON HER HEAD,  and ARCHIVES OF MY SOUL, 2007.  Bobbi regularly delights children of all ages at her librarY and book store programs.  Bobbi goes where ever Yoga and music call her, including The National Theosophical Society in Wheaton, IL, Gannon University in Erie, PA, Lily Dale, NY, Ashland University, and the Gulf shores of Alabama.  She appeared in the November 2002 Yoga Journal in an article featuring 9 regional instructors of Yoga. The Ganesha Yoga/Health and Healing Center presentsThe Bobbi Holliday Show on Amherst Cable Television.  This daily show includes postures, philosophy, and presenters, from her staff of teachers and therapists, plus guests who have interesting insights.

As a flutist, she performs frequently with local artists in recitals, including Kathleen Bosl as 'Elegance'. since 1985 and does 'healing' concerts as 'The Light Weavers', blending metaphysics and music with soprano, Jan Ennes.  They are on the faculty of a Health and Healing Retreat held on the Gulf Shores of Alabama every Fall and are available for 'healing concerts' at conferences and colleges. The Light Weavers created 3 CD's  called "Celestial Openings", "Celestial Awakenings and "The Mystical Minors" and are available upon request.  Bobbi has created her own CD's of flute improvisation, guided meditation and a guided Yoga tape which was favorably reviewed in the January 2000 issue of the Yoga Journal.   Please check the product page for 'sound' sampling.  Bobbi is a Founding Member of the Great Lakes Gnosis Society which based its programs on metaphysics, healing, personal and spiritual growth.  She served on the Board of Three Arts Club of Lakewood, Ohio, and as President of the Elyria Musical Art Society for ten consecutive years.

 

Leslie Thompson was raised in a yogic atmosphere.  Her mother Bobbi Holliday has been teaching since Leslie was about 2 years old.  She fondly remembers singing Paramhansa Yogananda's sweet songs as a child on long road trips with her three brother's, such as "I am the Bubble, Make Me The Sea", doing a head stand for "show-n-tell" in her First -grade class and writing a poem entitled "I Wish"at age 9 to her first Guru from India who named Leslie "Miss India" (lol).  She has since earned 3 Yoga Teacher Training Certificates:  "Alpha Yoga" w. Bobbi Holliday, "Ananda Yoga" at the Expanding Light in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California, and with Yogi Hari in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Leslie resides on the UWS of Manhattan and the Catskills with her boyfriend actor Walter Charles.

I Wish

I wish I could take my Guru's hand, and we would go to the ice-cream stand, because ice-cream is his favorite treat, before he sits in the Lotus Seat.  If I were with him I'd closemy eyes, for he is very wise, he'd guide me to the ways of Right and from the Darkness to the LIGHT.

Nikki Rogers is the youngest and newest Yoga instructor at

 Ganesha

Yoga Health Healing Spa and Detox Center

Nikki's love of movement started at age 3 when she first stepped into the dance studio.  She continued to dance through early childhood and went on to train in tumbling, cheerleading, and dance from age 11 through college.  Nikki studied the wonders of the human body at Ohio University where she earned her BS in Sports Science and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.  It was at OU that she started Pilates training which led directly to her discovery of Yoga.

After practicing on her own and attending various yoga workshops for 5 years, Nikki started classes with Bobbi Holliday and Bhumi to deepen her practice.  She continues to study with Bobbi and Bhumi and attends a variety of workshops and continuing education programs to further deepen her understanding of this Healing Art. 

In addition to her continued commitment to the yogic arts, Nikki is a Licensed Physical Therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist through IWA, a childcare provider and gymnastics/movement instructor.

As a yoga teacher, Nikki works with a diverse population of ages and abilities.  In addition to teaching at Ganesha, she teaches a community class in Berea for Bhumi's Yoga and Wellness, a course for Jr. high school girls at Magnificat, and offers private sessions to assist individuals with wellness and therapeutic applications of yoga.

She is currently teaching a yoga class specifically for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families at Fisher-Titus Medical Center  in Norwalk, Ohio.  It is the first Yoga class of its kind in the area.

Nikki is a graduate of Bhumi's Yoga Teacher Training and registered with the Yoga Alliance at the (200 level).

MEDITATION TEACHER

Mary Lou Stricklin is a gifted teacher and spiritual healer whose mission is to connect persons love and guidance to their discovery of inner strength, spiritual insight and self-healing. A long time spiritual journey led her to study with Rev. Elaine Thomas at the School of Spirtual Healing and Prophecy at LilyDale, New York. She is a licensed minister, certified Metaphysician and qi gong practioner who has studied with many leaders in spirituality and holistic healing.

She is currently a participant in the Mind-Body Medicine Professional Training Program with James Gordon, MD in D.C.  Mary Lou is an experienced health professional and executive, recently as Pres/CEO of the Visiting Nurse Assn of Ohio.  She is the founder of Healing Arts with a specialty in mind/body/spirit health and Self-healing through relaxation, meditation and healing instruction.  She serves as minister for weddings, funerals and rites of passage.
